Return, Refund, and Exchange Policy

We value all our customers worldwide and strive to provide the best service. By placing an order with us, you agree to the following terms and conditions.


Eligibility for Returns & Refunds

Returns and refunds are applicable only under the following conditions:

  • You receive an incorrect product (i.e., an item different from what you ordered).

  • You receive a defective or damaged product.

To process your return or refund request, please provide:

  • Clear photographic evidence of the defect or incorrect product.
  • A clear unboxing video, recorded from a far angle, showing all four sides of the box before and during opening.

Exclusions:

Returns and refunds will not be accepted under the following circumstances:

  1. No returns, exchanges, or refunds will be accepted for products explicitly stated as non-returnable or non-exchangeable in the product description, including but not limited to Kidswear, footwear, clutches, and accessories.

  2. If the customer expected pre-marked, pre-cut, or ready-to-stitch fabric in unstitched articles.
  3. If dissatisfaction arises due to the absence of stitching patterns, structural outlines, or tailoring instructions.

  4. If the product does not meet personal expectations regarding color, fabric feel, design interpretation, or complexity of stitching.

  5. If the customer was unaware that the product is unstitched/raw fabric, despite this being clearly specified in the product description.

  6. If embellishments (e.g., tassels, lace, pearls) seen in product images are not included, unless explicitly listed as part of the purchase.

  7. Minor differences in color, print, or detailing caused by screen resolution, lighting, or photography will not be accepted as valid reasons for return.

  8. There may or may not be tags/labels present on the garment. Please note that all products are Chaand Tara Originals, and this does not affect their authenticity or quality.


Non-Returnable / Non-Exchangeable Items:

The following items are strictly non-returnable and non-exchangeable:

  • Products not reported for return/exchange within the stipulated return window.

  • Pre-order items, custom orders, stitched articles, and made-to-order products.

  • Items purchased during sales or promotional offers.

  • Fabrics are sold without warranty or guarantee.

  • Any item that has been altered, used, or damaged post-delivery.

  • Products without original tags, packaging, or proof of unboxing as per our return conditions.


Return Conditions:

To be eligible for a return or exchange, the following conditions must be met:

  • The item must be unused, unwashed, and in original condition.

  • Brand tag, price tag, and packaging must be intact.

  • A clear unboxing video, recorded from a distance, showing all four sides of the box before and during the opening process, is required.

  • Improper packaging or missing components may result in the request being rejected.


Limitations on Exchanges:

  • Only one exchange is permitted per order.

  • Exchange requests must comply with all policy terms.


Disclaimer:

  • Product images are provided for styling reference only and represent the final stitched look.

  • Unstitched items are delivered as fabric panels or patches and do not include cutting templates, pre-marked guides, or tailoring instructions.

  • Customers are responsible for arranging their own tailoring based on their preferred outcome.


Refund Processing:

  • Approved refunds will be processed within 7-10 business days after verification (extended timeframe for clarity).

  • Refunds will be issued via the original payment method or as store credit, depending on the circumstances.


Return Procedure:

  • To initiate a return, you must contact us via email within 3 days of receiving the product via email.

  • The item must be returned in its original packaging, unused, and in the same condition as it was received.


Legal Disclaimer:

  • The company reserves the right to reject any return or refund request that does not meet the above conditions.

  • By placing an order, you agree to this policy and acknowledge that all disputes will be resolved according to the company's terms and conditions.

  • All disputes related to returns, refunds, or exchanges will be governed by the laws of Mohali Jurisdiction, India.


Exchange Policy:

We offer a 3-day exchange policy. You may request an exchange within 3 days from the date of receiving your order via email.

Eligibility for Exchange:

  • Exchanges are only permitted for items of equal or higher value.

  • The item must be in its original condition, unused, unworn, with all tags attached, and in its original packaging.

  • A valid receipt or proof of purchase is required for the exchange.

  • The customer is responsible for returning the item to us. (Customer responsibility).

  • The credit from the exchange will be added to your CHAAND TARA Wallet, which can be used for future purchases. Please note that the credit note is valid for 12 months and can be redeemed online.

Return Timeline:

  • We must receive the returned item within 7 days from the delivery date.

How to Initiate an Exchange: To request an exchange, please contact our customer support team via email : info.chaandtara@gmail.com within 3 days of receiving your order and provide the following information:

  • Order Number

  • Delivery Address

  • Reason for the Exchange (please include an image if the product is defective or incorrect)

If your exchange request is approved, we will send you a return shipping address along with instructions on how and where to return the item.


Customer Support:

For any return or exchange-related inquiries, please contact us at info.chaandtara@gmail.com. Our team is available Monday to Saturday (working days), from 10:30 AM to 6:30 PM. We aim to respond within 48 working hours.



COD Policy:

We offer Cash on Delivery (COD) for orders up to INR 6500/-. For orders exceeding INR 6500/-, we may require an upfront payment of the article amount, contingent upon the order value. Our customer care team is available to assist with such arrangements.


Delivery Availability Policy:

To ensure the successful delivery of your order, it is important that you or someone on your behalf is available to receive the package at the time of delivery. We are not liable for any delivery-related issues if the recipient is unavailable or fails to respond to the delivery agent’s calls.

As per our policy, if a customer denies accepting the package or is unreachable at the time of delivery, the responsibility does not lie with us. We strongly recommend arranging for someone to receive the parcel if you are unavailable, to avoid unnecessary delays or returns.

Payment Clarification: Chaand Tara will never ask you to make any payment to any individual outside of our official delivery process. Your address and contact details are solely used for the purpose of delivering your order. You are only required to pay the agreed-upon amount to Chaand Tara or its authorized delivery representative.

By placing an order, you expressly consent to the use of your address and contact information for the sole purpose of order fulfillment and delivery. Any payments for delivery must be made exclusively to the designated delivery person from Chaand Tara, and no payment should be made to any unauthorized third parties.


Damages and Issues:

Please inspect your order immediately upon receipt. If the item is defective, damaged, or if you receive the wrong item, please contact us immediately so we can resolve the issue promptly.


Refund Policy:

We offer a 100% refund if you receive a damaged product. To claim this refund, an unboxing video of the parcel is mandatory.

Refunds will be processed within 7-10 business days.

We do not offer refunds if the product does not meet your expectations. As stated in our disclaimer, the final product may differ from the catalog images due to:

  • The absence of tassels, embellishments, pearls, and laces in unstitched fabric.

  • Variations caused by photography and editing.

To avoid miscommunication, you may request additional pictures or videos of the product before placing your order.


Order Cancellation Policy by Chaand Tara:

We reserve the right to refuse or cancel any order for reasons such as incorrect pricing, unavailability of items, or escalated shipping costs/import duties.

Refunds will be issued for both completed and pending orders. Customers will be notified of any cancellations, and corresponding refunds will be processed.


International Shipping, Exchange & Returns:

  • Orders placed for international delivery, once confirmed or processed, are non-refundable.

  • The customer is responsible for covering any applicable customs duties and taxes.

  • Once shipped, customers will receive tracking information via email.

If a customer wishes to exchange or return an item, they must return it to our designated shipping address, and they will be responsible for the associated return.

 


Order Cancellation Procedure:

Orders can only be canceled within the 2 hours of placement. After the order is processed, we are unable to entertain cancellation requests.

Chaand Tara reserves the right to cancel an order and issue a full refund to the customer, provided the order has not been processed or approved.

In cases where there is a delay in collection or delivery of the product from the brand or designer, Chaand Tara will not be able to cancel the order. However, store credits may be issued in lieu of a cancellation.


Policy Changes:

Chaand Tara reserves the right to modify, update, or change this Return, Exchange, and Shipping Policy at any time without prior notice. It is your responsibility to review this policy periodically to stay informed of any updates. Your continued use of the site and services signifies your acceptance of any changes made to the policy.
